You Were Not Broken. You Were Just in the Middle of Something.

There is a story many of us carry about ourselves that says we are not yet complete.
That we need to heal one more thing, fix one more pattern, understand one more piece of ourselves before we are allowed to feel whole. That wholeness is a destination we have not arrived at yet. That the right relationship or the right job or the right version of our body or the right amount of peace in our nervous system will finally make us what we have always been trying to become.
But wholeness is not a destination.
You are not a project that needs to be finished before you can be loved, or valued, or at ease. You are not broken in need of repair. You are a human being in the middle of a human life, and that life includes difficulty and growth and change and seasons that do not feel like progress. None of that makes you incomplete. All of it is part of what it means to be fully alive.
You are whole right now. Not in spite of the things you are still working through, but alongside them. Your uncertainty and your strength can exist in the same person at the same time. Your tenderness and your power can live in the same body. You do not have to resolve yourself into something simpler before you get to feel okay.
You were never broken. You were just in the middle of something. And in the middle is still whole.
I Am Whole is live on YouTube at the I AM Label channel. Let the words land in the place that needs to hear them.
